Now with even more attitude

The new 2014 Coupe takes iconic Camaro styling to a whole new level. At the front, a revised upper grille design helps to emphasize Camaro Coupe's broad, muscular stance. It's complemented by a broad lower grille section that actually improves engine cooling. LT and SS models also feature new projector-beam fog lights as standard equipment.

There are more updates at the rear, with horizontal LED taillights and adjustments to the rear decklid and diffuser. The results? A dramatic and very contemporary new look, plus improved aerodynamics. And here's another example of how form and function live together in the 2014 Camaro Coupe: the bold hood vent on SS models. Not only does it look awesome, it also helps to cool critical components in the engine compartment.

It puts a robust 400 hp at your disposal, yet it features a highway fuel consumption rating of only 8.2 litres of fuel per 100 kilometres.4

For an extra measure of quickness off the line, SS Coupe models equipped with the standard 6-speed manual transmission also feature launch control, which limits wheelspin to optimize traction and acceleration. SS Coupes when equipped with the available 6-speed automatic gearbox includes the added precision of TAPshift® manual controls conveniently mounted on the steering wheel, so you can always select the right gear for any given situation.

To keep the power under control, SS Coupe models feature a performance-tuned suspension with beefy front and rear stabilizer bars. Also standard: a world-class Brembo® braking system featuring a large-diameter ventilated rotor and a 4-piston caliper at every wheel.

In low-speed manoeuvring, Camaro SS Coupe's standard electric variable-effort steering provides a high level of assist for easy handling. At higher speeds the assist level is reduced, so you enjoy a more direct steering feel and increased feedback from the road.

Available exclusively on Camaro SS Coupe models with the 6-speed manual transmission, the 1LE Package features a number of important chassis upgrades, including larger stabilizer bars and Goodyear® Eagle® Supercar® G:2 tires borrowed from Camaro ZL1. Also like the ZL1, the close-ratio transmission included with the 1LE Package comes with an air-to-liquid cooling system for added durability in severe on-track conditions.

With the transmission in reverse, the camera shows a video image of the area behind your Camaro on the car's 178 mm (7-in.) colour Chevrolet MyLinkTM5 display, so you can see – and avoid – obstacles. It's standard on Camaro 2LT and 2SS Coupe models and available on Camaro 1LT and 1SS Coupe.

USB Port

Standard on all LT, SS and ZL1 models, the USB port6 located in the centre console allows convenient access to music stored on a USB drive or other compatible mobile device.
